About
| Life is hectic, stressful, and busy. Even more so when you are raising children. Work, school, relationships, activities, family all vying for your attention. |
The best thing you can do is meet the challenge headlong, prepared with tools to help you simplify life, become an involved parent, and make time for the things that really matter. |
My name is Aaron M. Sneary, a 30somthing husband, father and system administrator on a military facility. I love my wife; she is my best friend, and life partner. I am a dedicated father, and I believe that a father’s role in child-rearing is vitally important, possibly even more today than in previous generations. I have had a broad and unique career path; having built props for numerous Shakespeare theatres across the country, done after-school care for elementary kids, I was a Master Model Builder at LEGOLAND California, I’ve designed several websites for friends and family. Now I work on a team managing servers for the US Army. If someone had asked me 10 years ago if I would ever work for the military, I would have said “No Way!” Funny how much life changes. I used to live to work - my job was my hobby and social network. Now I work to live - the job provides me the resources to spend quality time with friends and family. Though I write about decluttering, cleaning and organizing, don’t misunderstand. I’m no Martha Stewart or Peter Walsh. Our house is often cluttered and messy. But that is slowly changing. We are finding ways to destress our lives now that we have time to do so (theatre rarely leaves time for home-making). Basically, Serene and Not Herd is not a state of being, but a goal for growing. |
