Let’s just go for the one! - a night with Gaelic Storm

A most amazing band, Gaelic Storm (think Celtic Rock Pub Band) came to Sierra Vista and got us clapping our hands, stomping our feet, and working up a terrible ‘tirst’. A thirst we quenched with the band after the concert at a local bar.
So who is this Gaelic Storm?
Since its inception nearly ten years ago, Gaelic Storm continue to broaden the musical horizons of the Celtic music genre by creating compelling originals and fresh arrangements steeped in Irish traditional melody and acoustic instrumentation combined with their unique blend of world rhythms. - Gaelic Storm Website
Sierra Vista’s Parks and Leisure Department puts on Art Discovery Series each year, a collection of music and theatrical events. This year, my amazing wife Megan worked wonders by getting Gaelic Storm, one of my favorite bands to play in Sierra Vista as part of Art Discovery Series.
The concert was awesome. These musicians clearly put their heart and soul into their music, and sometimes their embarrassing personal stories too. Any band that can get retired seniors laughing and clapping and tapping their toes have really done something great. I would have been content to end the night there.
But instead band members Patrick Murphy and Steve Twigger met their devout fans at the bar at their hotel. We stormed the place, kept them open 3 hours past closing, drank them dry of Guiness and Samuel Smiths, and had a blast. Steve and I spent most of the evening attempting to solve the worlds problems in traditional pub philosopher style, while Patrick flirted with my wife, and we all proceeded to Drink the Night Away.
I haven’t stayed out past 1am in a long time. But please Don’t Tell Me Ma….

It was Steve Twigger. Not the other Steve.
